The Nalayn
Every step they took their blessed sandals were kissed by the earth, and with their absence the trees would cry out from the pangs of separation. From their light the entire cosmos were illuminated and every wandering heart was guided. When the moon set eyes upon them, it would come forth hiding itself out of awe that for the first time it had witnessed a light greater than its own. When they arrived at a distance of what The Quran describes as 'two bows length', they were instructed by Allah Almighty to leave on their blessed sandals (na’al) so that the arsh (throne) and the entire space inbetween could be blessed by those holy sandals.
